Since the beginning of the 19th Century the Sleigh Bed, with it's curved and scrolled headboards and footboards, and the look of a Snow Sleigh, has been an instant hit throughout history.  Some call them French Beds today.  If Napoleon and Josephine were around today, they'd surely like the looks and strength of our Taos Sleigh Bed.  Built sturdy, with no squeaks or noises so Napoleon could wake up refreshed and ready for battle, and so will you.  Word has it, that the night preceding Waterloo, he didn't sleep on his Sleigh Bed, and the rest is history.

Details, Sizes, and Options

1.  This bed can be made out of premium Appalachian Red Oak, or White Hard Maple, which are very strong American grown Hardwoods.
2.  Slats are 100% Pine, and spaced 3" apart, you can can order double pine with has 1/4" spaces between the slats.
3.  Slats can also be made of Poplar, which is a hardwood, or Double Poplar Slats also reducing the spaces between them.
4.  Platform Height is normally 12", however there are options to raise or lower the height of the bed as well.
5.  Headboard gap adjustment is used to adjust the headboard height to accommodate various mattress or mattress and box spring thicknesses.
6.  Footboards can be made taller on most models.
7.  Oak beds can be unfinished, or finished in Light or Darker Pure Linseed Oil, and Maple frames can be unfinished, or finished in Light Linseed Oil.
8.  Normally, your order leaves the factory in about 2 1/2 weeks.  A Rush leaves in about 2 weeks, and with a Double Rush leaves in about 1 Week.
